Consultations

All consultations require a valid referral. Dr Shan charges out-of-pocket consultation fees which are subject to change. Concession rates are available for pension and healthcare card holders. Please contact Dr Shan's rooms for enquiries regarding consulting fees.

Appointments are available for insured and uninsured patients. Please note, Dr Shan does not see Workcover or TAC patients.

Procedures in Hospital

Dr Shan operates at St. Vincent's Private Hospital Fitzroy, Epworth Hospital Richmond, and St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. Dr Shan supports known gap cover. Please contact Dr Shan's rooms for all enquiries regarding surgical fees. Operations performed in the public system at St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne do not incur an out-of-pocket cost.

Procedures in the ShanVascular Veins Centre

Dr Shan performs minor procedures in dedicated and purpose-built operating theatres at Mayfair Specialist Centre, Gisborne Specialist Centre, and Fitzpatrick House. He is supported by specialist trained vascular sonographers and nurses to ensure the highest level of quality and safety for all procedures. This service provides increased choice and access for Dr Shan's patients, including for those who do not qualify for procedures in hospital. Both insured and uninsured patients are able to access this service. Out-of-pocket costs apply as outpatient procedures are not covered by health insurance. Please contact Dr Shan's rooms for all enquiries regarding fees and costs.
